Ophthalmology Training Consultant III

Jessica Root is an Ophthalmology Training Consultant for ModMed and is responsible for coordinating and delivering training, GoLive support, and post-GoLive optimizations for clients implementing EMA and ModMed Practice Management (MMPM).
Jessica has been working in Ophthalmology for nearly a decade with clinical experience in many sub-specialties including Retina, Cornea, Glaucoma as well as General Ophthalmology. She is especially passionate about clinical research and spent several years conducting clinical trials on treatments for diseases of the Retina to include Wet and Dry AMD, Diabetic Retinopathy, Uveitis, and Ocular Melanoma among others. Her research experience earned her a position with Stanford Medical School conducting research in chronic pain medicine before finding her way back into the world of Ophthalmology in 2019 when she began working with ModMed.
She has since worked with Ophthalmologists all over the United States to assist in the successful implementation of ModMed EMA and Practice Management software. She has a particular interest in the optimization of Ophthalmology practices whether it be a single provider practice or a practice with dozens of sub-specialists and general ophthalmologists.
She enjoys the fast-paced lifestyle of a clinical trainer and likes that it takes her all over the country each week to provide training, onsite support and optimization. That said, she loves going home to her partner Christina and their could-not-be-more-different-from-eachother dogs, Alfie the German Shepherd and Princess Lulu the Frenchie. She’s taken up gardening since moving to Pensacola, FL but her absolute favorite pastime is making people laugh.
She will do her best to make it an enjoyable experience should you ever have her onsite for training, support or optimization and she welcomes you to come to any of the ModMed Ophthalmology sessions here at MOMENTUM 2024!
